The NV UniQ is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 20% Negru de Drӑgӑşani, all aged from nine to 24 months in oak of varying ages depending on lot (overall, 25% new) and origins (French and Romanian). This is a non-vintage wine because the components are from different years (and, as an aside, each of the grapes are from different appellations). The Cabernet is from the 2013 vintage, the Merlot is from 2016 and the Negru de Drӑgӑşani is from 2017. It comes in at 14.1% alcohol. By far the most expensive of the Romanian wines in this report (the winery's half-bottle of Sirena is next), this certainly delivered, although a strong competitor in this report is the winery's own Soare Cabernet Sauvignon at only $30. This is a very different style, though, as it is a more nuanced wine and a more polished wine. This shows more finesse and refinement and a little less rusticity. It will also be ready to drink now, given its older vintages as components, its maturity serving well. This is lovely and hard to resist today, but the price point is obviously not easy. Although a non-vintage wine, the back label in the middle has a lot number with a year showing when this wine was produced.

DESPRE ACEST VIN

Vinarte ne propune astazi un vin unic, asa cum ii spune si numele, realizat din Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot si Negru de Drgasani. Rosu rubiniu cu reflexii brun roscate, Vinarte Uniq cucereste inca de la primele note olfactive de prune uscate si fructe de padure, urmate apoi de tentele de vanilie, caramel si ciocolata neagra. Pe palat, regasim arome savuroase, in armonie cu notele olfactive, iar taninii rotunzi ofera si mai multa savoare acestui vin cu o textura eleganta si catifelata. Va recomandam degustarea vinului la 16-18 grade Celsius, alaturi de preparate mai consistente, cum ar fi friptura de miel, vanat, burgeri si branzeturi.
